On Hipster Star Wars

I don’t know how many of you out there are familiar with the “Hipster Star Wars” fad on Twitter, but if you’re not, the following quote should explain everything:

“My X-wing is a fixie.”

At first, I found this hilarious. Then, I starting thinking; a dangerous past-time, I know.

While it is a funny statement, an X-Wing cannot by definition be a “fixie” (which I am taking in this instance to mean “fixed-wing”) because the wings are by their nature not fixed. Thus, no self-respecting hipster would own an X-Wing, particularly when the decidedly fixed-wing A-Wing and Y-Wing are readily available.
